Kids are going to school tomorrow!! I, I mean, they are soooo excited! Actually, Macon is a little miffed because I am insisting on going in with him and all he wants is to ride the bus. Everyone got teachers this year that I and they are happy about. Hannah and Knox will be very prepared for middle school after this year with their particular teachers. Katy will be changing class for all four major subjects so she will get a taste of four different teachers. It will be interesting to see how she handles the transition. Fourth grade is pretty tough anyway but throw in four different sets of expectations?? I think she will be fine but it may take some getting use to.
We celebrated Macon's birthday with the family tonight. Just cake and presents, no dinner. He got a lot of neat stuff but no one had a camera so there will be no pictures of him opening gifts. I swear, that last child gets left out a lot!! I apologize now for any trauma I am imparting on my last born. He is certainly loved as much as the others so hopefully he will remember that instead of the fact that I can't seem to keep a camera charged for his events :(

Are you enjoying the peace and quiet of an empty house today??? Bored yet???? I am envious. We start back the 4th of Sept. I still am only teaching 2 hours a day. Brooks will be in 4 yr. preschool M-W-F mornings, so I'll have some quiet time with Sadie before going to work myself. Hope the kids have a great year! (and you too!)
